    ??? Your Fasting but your EATING?? How is that possible. My understanding of A FAST (remember the Irish Sands who FASTED to death, oh, your too young to remember that) is the abstention of FOODS.

  2. The Daniel Fast is VEGETABLES ONLY. You don't need breakfast at all, the main meal should be at night.And only small snacks at lunch time Vegs only for 10 days.

  3. I have a question, how much are you praying throughout the day? This fast is based on prayer and getting closer to the Lord and you mention nothing about it.

  4. The granola bars looked great. But, what would you recommend for the granola if you are allergic to bananas and all nuts?

  5. Is it ok with the fast to cook the oatmeal with the datorade or blend the milk and fruit so that the oatmeal is naturally sweetened?

  8. Babs, try steel cut oats instead of rolled oats. They are as different as night and day. The steel cut oats have to be cooked before using them for anything. The texture is more like brown rice and is great in anything where you might use rice or lentils or quinoa. The steel cut oats don't lend themselves to making cookies or other traditional oat things, but they are a great sub in anything savory. And they lend a nutty, somewhat chewy texture. I love them!
    This is an interesting journey in food. I'm grateful that you're sharing it.
