Just made the APPLE PIE OATMEAL BARS.  Worked out pretty well.  I added a little bit of brown sugar and some chopped up walnuts.  Next time I might just chop up the apples and add to the mix.  That way you don't need to deal with the layering (I didn't have quite enough mix for the top layer).  Otherwise they were delicious!

  11. That apple pie oatmeal bar recipe is soooo gooood!! I tried it today and it came out perfectly. I didn´t have any apples so I used fresh peaches from my parent´s garden, replaced 1/2 cup of oats with the same amount of coconut chips. I just had to eat 2 bars for dinner. So looking foward to tomorrow´s pre workout breakfast 😀

  17. Hi, Maddie. My wife made your breakfast apple oat bars and they were wonderful. Because it's vegan, it takes one or two bites to "retrain" your palate to except it because it is missing all the FAT one usually uses when cooking desserts. It was perfectly sweet, though. My wife made two additions she wanted to pass onto you. She added a splash of vanilla and a splash of Maker's Mark Whiskey. She used Fuji apples and they stayed super crispy after baking so if one prefers a much softer apple, use a Rome or McIntosh. Thanks for this recipe.
